Building permits have been issued facilitating the development of a supportive housing project proposed at 4801 Coliseum Way in Oakland. The project proposal includes the conversion of an existing motel to a supportive housing community with onsite services. Demolition work is required on the site which will be processed under separate permits. Danco Communities is the project applicant. Coliseum Motel LLC is the property owner. DG Group Architects is responsible for the designs.

Westbank and Urban Community have submitted new plans to convert Downtown San Jose’s iconic Bank of Italy tower into housing. The adaptive reuse of the office tower would create well over a hundred apartments across most of the 13-story building. Permits to Convert Church to Housing at 554 Fillmore Street, Lower Haight, San Francisco

Updated plans have been filed to convert a former church at 554 Fillmore Street into a mixed-use development with housing and an event space in San Francisco’s Lower Haight. The adaptive reuse expects to retain much of the former Sacred Heart Church’s exterior and nave while creating five floors for housing on the eastern end. The Pollard Group is sponsoring the project.
