A new residential project has been proposed for construction at 707 Commons Drive in Sacramento. The project proposal includes the development of seven buildings offering 25 dwellings on a site, replacing an old office building slated for demolition. RBM Commons LLC is the property owner. BSB Design will handle project architecture.
The race for the tallest building in Berkeley continues, and it is a contest of single-digit differences. Updated plans have been filed with the Berkeley Planning Department for 2128 Oxford Street, which raises the project to 26 floors and 284 feet tall. The plans are now the tallest proposed building for Downtown Berkeley, extending just seven feet over 1974 Shattuck Avenue.
The San Francisco Civic Design Review Committee is scheduled to review plans for the Transbay Block 3 park during a public meeting next Monday. The plan will create a new one-acre landscaped destination between two dense housing plans on the former temporary Transbay Bus Terminal in SoMa. The CIM Group has submitted pre-application documents for a new 46-story residential tower at 325 22nd Street, named Town Tower, in Downtown Oakland. If built today, the project would be the tallest addition to the Alameda County skyline, rising 487 feet tall, well above the current 404-foot Ordway Building. The new plans are a shift away from 2017-era plans by CIM for an office tower at the same location.
