Westbank and Gary Dillabough of Urban Community have purchased a vacant parcel expected to become housing at 201 West Julian Street in Downtown San Jose. The $11.4 million transaction adds to the development team’s impressive six-project roster for the city, including an office tower designed by Studio Gang at 255 West Julian Street. Given the development team’s other ambitious proposals, there is high anticipation about what they plan to do at 201 West Julian.
Construction is nearing completion at 88 Broadway and 735 Davis in North Beach, San Francisco. The development will soon open 178 affordable housing units designated for family or senior residents. BRIDGE Housing and the San Francisco-based John Stewart Company responsible for the development.
New development plans have been approved for a new four-story Agnes Memorial Senior Housing project at 2372 International Boulevard by Fruitvale in Oakland. The project would add 60 affordable senior rental units to the East Bay housing market at Miller and 15th Street. Related Companies is responsible for the application.
New building permits have been filed for a prominent new residential project on Treasure Island, an artificial island in San Francisco. The five-story building will add 117 new residential units as part of an 8,000-unit $6 billion district project in the Bay Area. Treasure Island Development Group, or TICD, is responsible for the development.
Pre-application permits have been filed for a 240-room citizenM Hotel at 300 Constitution Drive, or 3 Facebook Way, in Menlo Park, San Mateo County. The five-story development will replace surface parking at the intersection of Chilco Street and Bayfront Expressway in an area dominated by Facebook offices. The proposed hotel has already received city council conditional approval in early 2020. The Netherlands-based citizenM Hotel chain is responsible for the development as the project owner.
