The proposal will replace a vacant single-story structure with 68 new homes and amenities. EAH Housing is responsible for the project as the property owner.

The project proposal includes the development of a five-story building offering residential and retail spaces. Plans call for the demolition of an existing two-story retail building on the site. The project at 1885 South Norfolk Street would create 321 new rental homes with a two-story arch connecting the public to a new landscaped waterfront park on Seal Slough, across from San Mateo County’s Foster City. The project is scheduled to be reviewed by the City of San Mateo Planning Commission during a special public meeting tonight at 5:30 PM.
