The project proposal includes the construction of a new single-family residence with an attached garage on a vacant upslope parcel. Gehl Design Build Inc. is the project applicant. Valley Reo Property Management LLC is the property owner.
Lenders have taken over property ownership of 500 Kirkham Street in West Oakland, Alameda County. Back in 2019, the city approved plans by Panoramic Interests for a mixed-use complex with 1,032 units plus retail across a 32-story tower and two mid-rises. However, the developer struggled to get financing for the project during the pandemic and defaulted on its $6.25 million loan for the city earlier this year.
A multi-family residential project has been proposed for development at 4751 Redding Street in Oakland. The project proposal includes the construction of a new multi-family residential building offering residential space. Bulldog Community Development and Housing Inc is the project applicant.
New leasing activity has come for Bay West Development’s 550 East Brokaw Road property in San Jose, Santa Clara County. Supermicro Computer, a San Jose-based information manufacturing firm, has signed a new lease for just over 124,000 square feet. Bay West has yet to reply to a request for comment.
A preliminary application has been submitted for a hotel proposed for development at 1624 Franklin Street in Downtown Oakland. The project proposal includes the conversion of a 14-story office building to a hotel building, for to short-term rentals or transient housing. Plans call for the demolition of a portion of a mezzanine floor, along with ground and upper level interior partitions. Monarq Inc is the project owner. Lowney Architects is responsible for the designs.
