While facade installation is finishing up for Mission Bay Block 9, construction has officially started for the fully-affordable condominiums at Block 9A in Mission Bay, San Francisco. Both projects will bring new affordable housing to the city. Block 9 is dedicated to formerly homeless individuals, and Block 9A will sell 148 affordable condominiums opening by 2024.
The City of San Francisco planning department has published its preliminary project assessment for 1401 Folsom Street, establishing that it is generally consistent with the area plan while pointing to a few points to readjust. The project is a seven-story residential infill in the SoMa at the corner of Folsom and 10th street, five blocks from the Civic Center BART Station. RG-Architecture is responsible for the application.
A new residential project has been proposed for development at 505 East Bayshore Road in Redwood City. The project proposal includes the development a large-scale residential project offering nine building and 56 townhomes. The project proposes to demolish the existing development on the site. Regis Homes Bay Area is the project applicant. Dahlin Group Architecture is responsible for the designs.
New renderings have been revealed for a 15-story corner development at 1939 Market Street in Mint Hill, San Francisco. The project will create 100% affordable senior housing, with the team had shared that the expected tenants will be from the neighborhood’s LGBTQ community. Mercy Housing is responsible for the application.
New building permits were filed for the eight-story Parcel D in Brooklyn Basin, Oakland. The project, to be addressed at 181 Brooklyn Basin Way, will create 243 homes and retail as the latest addition to phase two of the 3,700-unit master plan. Parcel D will be developed by Anton Devco.
