The City of Palo Alto has reviewed an application for the entitlement of a 16-building townhome development at 200 Portage Avenue in the affluent city in Santa Clara County. The project would add a low-slung residential project eight minutes from the California Avenue Caltrain Station on a portion of the former Fry’s Electronics property. The Sobrato Organization is responsible for the application.
Development permits were submitted seeking the approval constructing four new townhomes at 530 32 Street in Pill Hill, Oakland. The project seeks approval of application of Regular Design Review to develop the residential units on a vacant lot.
De Jesus and Alatorre Architects is managing the design concepts and construction of the plan.
Construction is wrapping up on the first new academic building in 25 years for the San Francisco State University’s city campus. The $81 million Liberal and Creative Arts Building will provide a new home for the Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts Department administrators and the dean’s staff for the College of Liberal and Creative Arts. Mark Cavagnero is responsible for the design.
Permits have been approved pending appeal for a six-story residential building at 3414 Andover Street in Pill Hill, Oakland. The development will replace a vacant single-family house with twenty new residences. Oakland-based DNZ Homes LLC is responsible for the development.
New development permits have been filed seeking the approval of a three-story residential building at 485 Duncan Street in Noe Valley, San Francisco. The project proposal includes the demolition of an existing two-bedroom residence and the construction of a two-family residential building. The project requires Conditional Use Authorization.
