The San Francisco planning commission is scheduled to vote tomorrow on office floor space authorization for the Flower Mart redevelopment plan at 610-698 Brannan Street in SoMa. The full-block project is expected to completely reshape the property with over two million square feet of new floor area with offices, retail, and POPOS. Kilroy Realty is the owner and project developer.
A visit by SFYIMBY has documented construction is humming along with four structures topped out in Gateway at Millbrae, San Mateo County. The project is a transit-oriented mixed-use project that includes market-rate and affordable housing, a Marriott hotel, retail, and office space next to the Millbrae BART and Caltrain Station. Republic Family of Companies is responsible for the projected $401 million development.
A commission review application has been filed for a proposed seven-story mixed-use development at 240-250 Church Street between 15th and Market Street. The residential infill would add new residences, including some low-income housing to San Francisco’s Castro neighborhood. 250 Church LLC is the project sponsor for property owner Ty Bash.
A new 17-story student-oriented development has been proposed for 2128 Oxford Street through 2132-2154 Center Street in Downtown Berkeley. The mixed-use proposal would fill in the low-density college-town skyline with 285 new units geared on top of ground-level retail. Core Spaces and Core Berkeley Oxford LLC are responsible for the development.
Demolition permits have been submitted for a single-story building located at 111 Independence Drive in Menlo Park. Plans call for the development of an apartment building on the project site. The new development has been approved by the City Planning Commission. SP Menlo LLC is the project applicant. BDE Architecture is responsible for the design concepts and construction of the apartment complex.
