Development permits have been filed to construct a new residential building at 580 Minna Street in the South of Market, San Francisco. The proposal includes building a seven story residential building with 21 units and a basement. Sia Consulting Corporation is managing the project.
New permits have been filed for a new development at 2323 Moorpark Avenue in West San Jose by the San Jose city college. The application describes dividing the existing two-acre lot into 41, allowing for 41 new residential units. True Life Companies will be responsible for the development.
A site visit by SF YIMBY shows construction is well underway for the Brooklyn Basin development, one of the largest in the city of Oakland with thousands of units and two planned skyscrapers. One of the residential structures is already accepting move-ins, and two others are nearing completion. Located adjacent to the gentrifying Jack London District, it is a new mixed-use district with 3,100 new units, 200,00 square feet of ground-floor commercial space, a few marinas, and thirty acres of public parks.

The Let’sPlaySF Campaign is taking up renovation plans for Richmond Playground in Richmond District, San Francisco. Let’sPlaySF is a campaign created by the Recreation and Park Department and the San Francisco Parks Alliance to raise $13.3 Million in private funding. MIG is the landscape architect managing the landscape designs. The funds will be used to support the renovation project for 13 parks across San Francisco
