The commission will vote on an ordinance sponsored by Supervisor Peskin to establish a Special Use District for the new housing. Chinatown Community Development Center is responsible for the application.
The Larkspur Planning Commission is scheduled to review plans tonight for the new library at 10 Rose Lane in Larkspur, Marin County. The proposed civic building will replace a vacant 2.4-acre parcel fairly close to the city center. Berkeley-based studio Noll & Tam Architects is responsible for the design.
A new residential project has been proposed for development at 4335-4345 El Camino Real in Palo Alto. The project proposal includes the construction of a new residential community offering townhomes within 29 new three-story buildings. The project will replace existing buildings offering commercial and motel uses. Summer Hill Homes LLC is the project developer. SDG Architects Inc is responsible for the designs. R3 Studios is responsible for the landscape architecture.

The most interesting information is that construction is expected to start by early 2026. The mid-rise proposal would replace a low-slung vacant commercial building with twenty homes above a new Starbucks cafe.
