Permits have been filed to add density to 2709 Jackson Street in the neighborhood of Pacific Heights, San Francisco. The permit calls for the interior renovation of the structure. The building, which is currently a large single-family home, will be converted to make way for two new residential units. The project will provide 45 new units for senior citizens in a retail and transit-rich thoroughfare. Mission Neighborhood Centers and Mercy Housing are responsible for the development, after purchasing it from Pepsico nearly twenty-five years ago.

Construction is moving swiftly for the revamped KQED headquarters. The long-time home for the iconic Bay Area-based media station at 2601 Mariposa Street, Mission District, is redefining itself to accommodate for their significant growth since purchasing the lot in 1992. While their personality and care for broadcasts have endeared them to the public, their new design invites the public inside. EHDD Architects, also known for the Exploratorium at Pier 15, are responsible for the design.
