Development permits have been filed seeking the approval of a residential project at 224 Kirkham Street in Inner Sunset, San Francisco. The project proposal includes the construction of a new four-story residence with an ADU on the ground floor. The project calls for the demolition of an existing two-story single-family home on the site. OpenScope Studio is responsible for the designs.
Construction has reached the fifth floor of the 330-unit apartment complex at 2359 Harrison Street in Northgate-Waverly, Oakland. The project, led by Holland Partner Group, has already demolished surface parking and low-slung commercial structures. The tower is rising across from Vespr, another project by the same developer.
Construction has passed the first floor of an eight-story apartment project at 988 Harrison Street in SoMa, San Francisco. Crews are working to build 90 new homes above ground-level retail on a 0.29-acre property once occupied by a gas station. J.S. Sullivan is the project developer.
Last time since SF YIMBY’s update, the redevelopment project has been approved for construction at 550 East Brokaw Road in North San Jose, Santa Clara County. The project proposal includes the development of seven buildings offering almost two million square feet of office space and a public park. The site former housed Fry’s Electronics, a national big-box store selling electronics that dramatically closed all locations in February of 2021. Demolition will be required for the existing structure. Caracol Property Owner LLC is listed as the property owner. Bay West Development is responsible for the proposal, with architectural designs by Gensler.
The official groundbreaking ceremony was held yesterday afternoon for Avia Labs, a new life sciences project at 210 Adrian Road in Millbrae, San Mateo County. Once complete, the six-story project will open up in a burgeoning district, with direct access to the Millbrae BART and Caltrain Station through an underpass. Longfellow Real Estate Partners is the project sponsor.
