Plans have been revealed for a five-story mixed-use development at 990 34th Street, located between San Pablo Avenue and Market Street in West Oakland. The project, titled the Brubeck Building, would replace an existing two-story apartment building with 44 new homes. Gunkel Architecture is managing the design.
Development review permits have been filed for a five-unit residential addition at 1908 H Street, located between 19th and 20th Street in Boulevard Park, Sacramento. The project will be built at the rear of the lot facing Historic Alley, retaining the existing 1892-built duplex which faces H Street.
Plans have been approved for the residential infill at 921 O’Farrell Street in San Francisco, clearing the path for construction to start by next summer or early fall. The 14-story building will soon rise from a 0.1-acre site to build fifty new homes. David Baker Architects is responsible for the design.

A preliminary application has been filed seeking the approval of a proposed Home Depot store at 5050 Broadway in Oakland. The project proposal includes the development of a Home Depot store offering recycling program, a garden center, and onsite parking on a vacant property lot.
